An open-air museum of the wind
Sculptures of the Wind
Scattered across the capital, dozens of sculptures spell out a message only the wind was meant to read. Can you decode it before it blows away?
"On Fuerteventura the wind is not weather — it is the sculptor of everything, the dunes, the stone and the soul."

The experience
The city that became a gallery
Once a humble harbour, Puerto del Rosario reinvented itself as an open-air museum, scattering more than a hundred sculptures through its streets and seafront. The wind that shaped Fuerteventura is the hidden theme. This game turns the capital into a trail of art, history and exile — including the house where a famous writer was banished.

True history
A harbour, an exile and a hundred sculptures
Founded as Puerto de Cabras, the town grew slowly around a poor anchorage on the windward coast and became the island capital in 1860.
In 1924 the writer and philosopher Miguel de Unamuno was exiled here by the dictatorship; he fell for the stark, wind-carved landscape and made the island famous in his pages.
In recent decades the city has filled its streets with open-air sculpture, turning a once-overlooked port into a permanent gallery of the Majorero wind.
